This letter is to serve as a positive reference for North Alabama Builders, who are some of the best contractors and builders I have ever dealt with. They understood that for my family’s particular project we only had 30 days to complete. My wife and I purchased an old home with a “purchase/renovation” loan, which allowed us to make necessary repairs immediately, but we had 30 days to complete them. I told Mr. Love about our situation and not only did he understand, but he gave us a great price on the work.

They arrived with gusto early in the morning and stayed until dark. Even in the hot sun the roofers were able to finish in TWO days!!! The siding took a bit longer, but with a four story house I was amazed at how brave those guys were.

Another great thing about North Alabama Builders is the ability to always get in touch with Phil Love. Unlike many contractors, Phil was always in touch and kept me updated as much as I kept him updated. My wife and I had a very pleasant experience with their work and we plan to use them in the future for all of our other home construction needs. (And with a 102 year old house, I’m positive we’ll need them.)

North Alabama Builders were hired after a long and lengthy search to find a contractor that could fix and complete a project that was started by our previous contractor. Don Blair, Brent Davis and Ben Landrum were such a pleasure to work with during the entire project. They truly had a challenge coming into our hob with all of the corrections that had to be made before they could begin the additional tasks – not to mention our reluctance to trust after our recent bad experience. Don, Brent and Ben were able to quickly assess the problems, restore our trust and gain our confidence. We went into this project financially in the hole because of our previous contractor, however North Alabama Builders were very sensitive to this and priced the job very reasonably. They just seems to have our best interest at heart at the onset, and began construction within a few days! They ended up having to completely remove and reconstruct the roof from the kitchen addition that our previous contractor “tried” to build. For the first time, we felt that we had a “real contractor” from a professionally run company!

Type of work: Total renovation of kitchen, baths, and sunroom including replacing floors, countertops, cabinetry, appliances, and sunroom windows. Also,  tiling of exterior porch, exterior painting, and numerous other projects.

Very well. The work was done on a second home and we were confident enough of the professionalism and quality to not be there every day to monitor what was going on.

In the summer of 2002 I contacted Brent Davis of North Alabama Builders to remove and replace a deck on my home. Before I called North Alabama Builders I contacted Better Business Bureau. They had no complaints about this company in their files.

The work was done in a timely manner and as specified in the contract. The gentlemen who did the work were Ben Landrum and Jose Borden. I stress the word gentlemen because they conducted themselves as gentlemen at all times.

The building inspector included these words on his final inspection: “well built” and “a job well done.”

Any future building needs I have will be done by North Alabama builders.

The job for which North Alabama Builders was hired was difficult from the standpoint that it required persistence and a caring attitude as well as quality workmanship. It involved identifying the cause of a water leak, assistance in negotiating the Manufacturer’s Warranty coverage, replacing and re-trimming 45 windows, and repairing the damage caused by the leak.

The cause of the leak was a defective window, which had no visible signs of any problems. Prior to hiring North Alabama Builders, I hired other contractors who could not identify or resolve the problem. After Mr Davis personally performed various tests to identify the specific problem, he took the initiative to spend countless hours meeting and making phone calls to the distributors and manufacturer of the windows. He successfully documented and provided proof that the Manufacturer should honor it’s Warranty to replace every window in the house in order to avoid extensive and costly long term problems.

The subsequent repair and replacement of the windows was also performed in a very professional and timely manner. Throughout the job, Mr Brent Davis demonstrated a personal commitment and concern to complete the work as if he owned the home. He was dependable, conscientious, very cooperative, and always available to discuss any concerns. Likewise his employees were very skilled and showed the utmost respect for my property.

I would highly recommend North Alabama Builders and Mr. Brent Davis as you can find comfort in that he will provide the quality cost effective workmanship, and full customer satisfaction you deserve.
